Ideally lip blushing should last 3-5 years however this can vary depending on skin type, how well the lips are cared for and what skin treatments and products are used.
Things that will make the lips fade faster are extended sun exposure, frequent exfoliating, etc.
The final result can not be guaranteed as everyone’s skin is different.
If you are younger than 18 years old you are not able to have permanent makeup done.
If you are pregnant. Breastfeeding clients need to speak to their doctor before the appointment.
If you are taking prescription medication such as Accutane you must wait a minimim of 6 months to 1 year before getting permanent makeup done.
If you are prone to keloid scarring.
If you are allergic to tattoo pigments, lidocaine/tetracaine or epinephine.
If you are sun burnt or have been using retinols or acids on your skin you must wait two weeks before getting the treatment done.
If you have had any lasers, IPL, peels, etc you must wait 4-6 weeks before getting the treatment done.
If you have had botox or filler in the area you must wait 2 weeks before getting the treatment done.
At Upstairs Glamour we use top tier numbing creams before the procedure as well as during the procedure. Your comfort is our top priority!
When you initially come in we will chat about your expectations and what you are hoping your lips to look like.
We will apply the numbing cream which will sit for 20-30 minutes.
We will then map out the lips and ensure you are satisfied with the shape and size of the lips. We will also determine the best colour at this time.
Once the lips are numbed we will proceed with the procedure which takes 60-90 minutes.
If you are using at retinols or acids in the area you must stop using them and be sure it has been two weeks between stopping and the appointment date.
48 hours before the appointment please avoid Advil and alcohol.
The morning of the appointment you can take a Tylenol if you are nervous about the pain.
The morning of the appointment please refrain from consuming caffeine.
